Patient Preparation

Avoid seafood consumption for 48 hours prior to collection.

Storage

Acid washed plastic urine container.

Transport Temperature

  • Refrigerated = 5 days
  • Frozen = 14 days

Limitations

Ingestion of seafood within three days of specimen collection can affect results.
