Test Summary

Factor Inhibitors are auto antibodies against normal clotting factors. They are most commonly acquired antibodies, through this testing the strength of the antibody can be measured and treatment designed. Hemophiliac patients can acquire these allo-antibodies from the products they receive for treatment. Factor VIII and Factor IX types of inhibitors are the most common. Factor Inhibitor Profiles also include the initial Factor Activity result.
