It is a quantitative test for BCR-ABL major breakpoint (p210, e14a2/b3a2). It utilizes a nested PCR method for the detection of the BCR-ABL target gene and ABL reference gene. Quantitative results are converted to an International Scale (IS) percentage. The clinically demonstrated limit of detection of IS is 0.005% - 50%.
