Chromosome Analysis, Tissue with Reflex to Microarray, ClariSure® Oligo-SNP
Order Code: TISCHR
Test Summary
Chromosome analysis of products of conception (POC) can detect fetal chromosome abnormalities that are associated with approximately one-half of all first trimester spontaneous abortions. Since chromosome analysis on products of conception has an increased failure rate, this test will reflex to chromosomal microarray if chromosome analysis fails. Chromosomal microarray (CMA) detects aneuploidies, deletions and duplications below the resolution of chromosome analysis (karyotyping), and long continuous regions of homozygosity.
